A consultative meeting on the National Boda Boda Stage Development Model (NBSDM)
A consultative meeting on the National Boda Boda Stage Development Model (NBSDM) and its contribution to the local authorities was held today.
Present are stakeholders from UAAU, ULGA and the United boda boda Riders Cooperative Union.
The initiative is intended to:
- Streamline the management and administration of the Boda Boda industry
- Economic empowerment and financial inclusion for Boda Boda riders
- Improve Local Government Revenue mobilization and collection
To our members, the initiative will significantly:
- Contribute to local revenue arising from Boda Boda payments.
- Climate change mitigation by adopting climate-friendly technologies.
- Improve security and coordination within the community.
The Pilot Launch is scheduled for 21st January 2025 at Serena Hotel Kampala.
